Modern Mother's Day is born in the United States, scheduled on the second Sunday in May. Mother's Day of 2014 is on May 11st. Many countries in the world have a Mother's Day, but the date of this festival is not the same. For example, Mother's Day of Norway is scheduled on the second Sunday in February; Mothers Day of Argentina is scheduled on the second Sunday in October. In Lebanon, Mother's Day is the first day of spring and in India, April 25 every year is Mother's Day.

In China, there is no statutory Mother's Day, but it is usually put on the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day among the people. This festival comes from the United States. According to the custom of the American Mother's Day, people wear a carnation in front of the chest every Mother's Day because carnations represent love, charm and respect.

Mother's Day is a festival full of warmth. On this day, all the male members of the family should undertake all the housework and sons and daughters must do something to make their mother happy. “Such kindness of warm sun cannot be repaid by grass.” Although, mothers never judge us, just a phone call can make our mothers very happy. Therefore, for people in distant lands, it is necessary to call to wish happiness to their mothers, and to carefully prepare a Mother's Day gift to let mothers feel warm and intimate.
